  • Consent – when you voluntarily provide information or subscribe.

  • Contract – to deliver requested goods or services.

  • Legal obligation – for tax or recordkeeping.

Children's Privacy

We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Please contact us if you believe such information has been collected so we can delete it.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when visiting our Sites. You can refuse cookies or receive alerts when they’re sent, although some pages may not function properly.

Arguable Insights itself does not directly deploy cookies for tracking, but our hosting platforms—Substack and Systeme.io—may use them for metrics and analytics. For their cookie and tracking policies, see:

Visitors may encounter a cookie banner or consent prompt when first visiting, served through our hosting providers. Your continued use after selecting cookie preferences constitutes consent.

Platforms and Processors

Our Sites are hosted by Substack Inc. (United States) and Systeme.io / ITACWT Ltd (Europe). These entities act as processors under GDPR and are bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) requiring GDPR-level protection. These processors handle limited personal data (such as email delivery and analytics) solely to support our operations and under written agreements ensuring GDPR compliance.

Security

We and our hosting providers apply administrative, technical, and physical measures to prevent unauthorized access or alteration of your data. However, no Internet transmission is entirely secure, and no digital platform can guarantee zero risk. We shall not be liable for breaches beyond our reasonable control, though we will take appropriate steps to mitigate harm from any breaches we become aware of, and notify users as required by law.

Payment information for purchases is handled by secure third‑party vendors and is not stored on our servers.

Disclosure of your information

We do not disclose your personal information except as follows:

  • Operations – to trusted third parties (hosting partners, email providers, contractors) under confidentiality contracts.

  • Legal requirements – to satisfy court orders or regulatory requests.

  • Terms enforcement – to collect payments or enforce agreements.

  • Business transfers – to successors, in case of merger or acquisition, retaining the same privacy protections.

We do not sell or share personal data for monetary compensation or targeted advertising.

Third‑Party Links and Embedded Content

Our Sites may include links or embedded media (videos, ads, images) from external websites. These may use their own cookies or tracking. We have no control over them, and their own privacy practices apply.

Following external links is at your own risk.

Comments and Social Media

User comments posted on our Sites may be viewed by others and retained indefinitely.

Social media sharing options may be available on our Sites. Social media interactions (e.g., Facebook, TwitterX, YouTube) are voluntary and public; information shared there is governed by each platform's own policies.

Email Marketing and Opt-Out

By subscribing or purchasing, you agree to receive newsletters and updates. We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act (2003). You can unsubscribe any time via the email link or by contacting us.

We may use email marketing platforms that store data on secure servers outside your country under proper agreements.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here or to meet legal requirements, typically no more than 24 months after your last interaction. Thereafter it is deleted or anonymized. You may request earlier erasure.

Data Transfers and Cross‑Border Protection

Because our hosting platforms operate globally, your data may be stored or processed outside your region. When transferring data from the EEA or UK to non-EEA countries (such as the U.S.), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other lawful mechanisms are used to ensure adequate protection.

Your Rights under Privacy Laws

Depending on jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data

  • Request restriction of processing

  • Data portability (EU/UK GDPR)

  • Opt out of personal data sale/sharing under U.S. state laws

Note, however, that we do not sell personal data, and we disclose information only to trusted processors under contractual safeguards.
